This socket is designed to fit around the lockring, providing a secure nonslip fitment. The top hex takes a 1" wrench. Our old home built tool, that we use to use, just had tabs to fit into the notches on the lock ring. This tool was hard to apply pressure to keep it in the notches and still loosen or tighten the lockring.

We have discontinued our socket for the time being since our price is more than twice the Andover Norton socket. We do believe our socket has a slightly better fit, but not worth the extra cost.

The current price for the Andover Norton socket (part # NM23441) is $19.95.

We have discontinued manufacturing our socket and the old price for that socket (part # OB-70603) was $85.00.
Prices are current as of 02/12/21.
