WATERSLIDE TRANSFERS INSTALLATION

Summary:

This article covers the installation of Waterslide Transfers. The transfer is stuck to the glue paper and the image appears correct when viewed from the front .

Procedure:

To install, first place the transfer in a bowl of clean tepid water for approximately 30 seconds. DO NOT OVER SOAK.

Next wet the application area and slide the transfer into position. The slightly milky appearance when wet will disappear on drying.

Now squeeze the air and water bubbles out and wipe away any excess glue.

Let the transfer dry for 24 hours, then you can varnish or lacquer over the transfer.
PLEASE NOTE: It has been pointed out that some lacquers will not work with waterslide transfers, but will crinkle up immediately. It is recommended that you use a clear acrylic like DAU-80/75.
